Alterac valley :(

Can we lower the chance of this bg to spawn?

Since <Art of War> xfer'd to horde in 2015 and gave them premade AV strats, it's slowly decayed into a 200+ hk honor farm at SPGY.

Multiboxers have had a much worse cumulative effect on Alterac for alliance.

Further, with the nerf to ab/wsg rep, hk titles, and the constant bugs in SOTA, pvp is much less enjoyable to anyone with a brain.

Please increase ab/wsg (hell, even eots) chance and lower AV. Nobody wants this stupid battleground. We didn't want it on AT, we didn't want it on Ragnaros, we don't want it now.

IoC is pretty bad too, but that's mostly been an issue with multiboxing.

So true. Almost every bg is AV, get WSG about once a week if that.

Because this and the topic of the thread have nothing to do with each other. There's a difference between cheating/exploiting and a BG that pops more often than people would like.

Anyhow, as per the rest of the thread, the concern can be looked at.

I know the chance for AV to pop was lowered a while back, but lets be honest getting like 4 of them in a row? Highly annoying same happens with Isle of Conquest, More Arathi, Eye and WSG.

Isn't this caused by players constantly queuing up specifically for AV instead of random bg? I tested it in the past and it was working...

I have been trying to single queue for a long time and it's never popped for us. What kind of sick person would queue AV. :(


@Mercy thanks for replying, didn't follow that thread.

The chance to get AV is higher for two reasons:
- It's 40v40, so more players have to get in
- A lot of people simply leave the bg as soon as they see it's AV, so you're much more likely to end up getting in someone's spot than in the other bgs.

AFAIK, single-queueing for a specific BG function does not work. It seems that single-queueing does not queue you up into the Random Battleground instances at all. (Although I think it should. Correct me if I am wrong.)

AV issues has to be fixed by fixing the scripts, honestly. AV is boring as ****ing a dirt right now because you are literally just PvPing mindlessly. (or afking while guarding the bunkers.) Some quests implemented would be helpful.

Ah okay. Last time I tried was when they released IoC. Tried to single-queue IoC, waited 30 minutes then gave up.

AV is my favorite BG- however Icecrown is completely incapable of following any BG tactic in any battleground. Truly the majority of players are trash: It doesn't matter if every pop was WSG or AB, they still have no concept of defending bases or capturing flags, and when you try to correct them it's a fury of angsty teenagers who PvP in mid during every battleground. If you want to PvP I suggest you just play Arena because you'll never have a valid battleground experience on Warmane. Horde loses every,single.game on Icecrown. The few times I've gotten people to listen to me an follow tactics; we've won, and I was praised like a God just for knowing simple tactics. On Alliance though? I almost weep for joy in the flawless execution of tactics. Sure, you'll get losing BGs, but I've beat Horde Premades with simple tactics & a team of 3k GS. No offense to Warmane but the community is ****. It's backwards. No one follows tactics and praises high gearscore. Where I come from, gear was secondary to tactics and skill.

The random BG queue system works perfectly fine on Icecrown and Lordaeron. All BGs pop equally often up.
On Blackrock, on the other hand, its bugged. AV pops there like never up.

Making suggestions to reduce the pop up chance of some BGs just because u dont like them is dumb and not blizzlike.
Instead vote the bug report for specific BG queue up and ull be able to do ur favorite BG all day long.

U are either lying or u are terrible unlucky.
I do BGs on a daily basis and everything pops equally up. Sometimes I even get two times Warsong in a row.

Also, a simple "/who z-"insert bg name" 77-83" macro shows u what bgs are currently runing. If u make use of such macros ull notice that there are really all kind of BGs open at the same time and that it happens often that there is not a single AV runing.
