World PVP/RBG Class - Advice Greatly Appreciated!

Hi all,

Having a class problem - I'm looking for a class that has the greatest survivability in both world and random battlegrounds, basically looking for something with the qualities below:

-Least chance of being ganked
-Great survivability
-Very few counters
-PVP-oriented
-No Blood DKs

I was thinking about a prot paladin (full wrathful/resilience/stam geared) or a holy paladin. Damage output would be great, but ideally it would be a class that has amazing damage mitigation/survivability with the least amount of damage drop.

Let me know your thoughts !

Yeah, 'Safe Space' Prot paladin is what you are looking for, but just so you know people will never consider you a good player.

Unholy DK matches all of your requirements, prot pala is a good choice but it has many counters, basically every caster. Other than unholy DK a nice choice would be feral druid, they don't have many counters, if any at all.

Sub Rogue, uDk, RetPaladin, MM huntard.
Any among these classes will hump feral if decent and knows feral's mechanic.

Gotcha - I guess resilience and survivability doesnt matter if you keep getting kited ?

Arms warrior with full pvp gear (no pve offparts) has a pretty good survivability.
High self heal with http://wotlk.openwow.com/spell=16492 and http://wotlk.openwow.com/spell=29838, high dmg output and charge against kiter.
With full wrathful set+offset and http://wotlk.openwow.com/item=50356 u have like 38k HP and over 1400 resilience.
In crucial moments u can switch to wrathful one hand+shield which gives u another 150 extra resilience, 1k health and tons of armor.

But isn't resilience cap 1400 ?

Its 1420 and there is only a cap for critical dmg reduction of 33%.
But u also want to deal some dmg so once 1420 resilience is reached i would focus on strength.

-Arms warr > great survivability + the ability to roflstomp everything in front of you. God-tier class in arena

-Unholy > even greater survivability but less roflstomp... God-tier class for duels

-Holy Pal > you are basically God. Only downside: this class can kill you IRL. Of boredom.

-Affliction > a tank and a caster at the same time + you are far from the melee in battleground. Top-tier spec in every aspect of pvp but you can't faceroll your keyboard like the three above.

Prot paladin is boring without top tier pve pieces. Basically a meatshield, 0 pressure.
I would go frost mage.

there is no perfect class,its only subjective saying "immune to counters" best class etc.

Dk has counters,sub rogue for example,enjoy perma healing reduction, and if he is skilled duel-hero,he will just eat you in duel
Ret paladin ROFL,ret paladin sm and that swaps shield +1h mace for deffense and healings,he just beats the crap out of dk
Your gargo is useless he can just get ghlyp of instant turn evil which will cc your gargo.
If you fight tryhards duel heroes and high arena exp players,you gonna lose. Doesnt matter which class.

There are only 2.5 counters for DK:
- skillcapped frost mage (can skip that cause they are very rare)
- turtling ret paladin
- mm huntard if they met on wide open area

DK can lose to rogue only if rogue is tryharding dworf mongoloid. Otherwise DK just bad.

I listed the counters for what they do and how they can do it on previous post is so simple to understand pvp mehanics,rogue dwarf,human or orc whatever has advantage over dk.
About the mage part i agree,skilled frost mage is a pain for dk.

So there is no class that has no counter or hard fight in a duel,world pvp,or RBG
All classes have weaknes and advantages.
Quoted you again because you said on your previous post that unholy dk has no really counters,well it has, there IS ONLY ONE THING THAT HAS NO COUNTER IN THIS GAME IN PVP and its:
GOD-LIKE SKILLS,or hacks,or both lul
Otherwise rip,everything is countered.


P.s any player that has the will and the time(also resources) such as gear to test and yes bis gear,can learn to counter any class with his class but of course there are exceptions
