A plea to molten staff, please remove the honor perk for alliance

Hi

Please consider removing the bonus honor for alliance. I'm not saying this because they get gear faster but i feel like my few wins in pvp gets diminished by the fact that even though my team won. Alliance had either more or very close amounts of honor to what the winning team got. Especially now, i'm experiencing a 50% win rate which seems fair but then they still get more honor.

Compared to the other perks PvE generally doesn't affect me in the same way as you're just fighting a computer but in pvp you meet other players. I don't think the catch up/perk/50% bonus honor has any healthy effect for the server at all.. on the contrary it feels like hordes are getting punished against alliance players in pvp because... what? We picked the wrong faction?

I don't think the pvp bonus had much effect in the faction balancing, it was more likely the mounts/xp/rep that contributed to faction balance.

So.. once again please remove it.

So your reason is remove something because I dont benefit from it and envy? How are you punished? And how would you know what caused faction balancing? Absolutely no reasoning behind this post.

From my experience alliance loses 80% of bgs. How can you base your request off yours?

Please read the post carefully again and don't flame like this. PvE perks doesn't really affect the other faction as much but the pvp 50% perk has a direct impact on the fun of other players. It feels so bad winning an AV only to get LESS honor than alliance.. for what reason? Because they had some bad luck in the beginning?

It also seems that most alliance think they "deserve" this somehow but... i don't see why. I never played when the factions were unbalanced and it's too bad they got ganked to death. But i got ganked to death too while leveling by alliance so why do they deserve these perks?

It was put in as part of many changes to increase alliance population. Alliance pop is higher than Horde now, there are more raiding guilds, more PVP guilds and Alliance is literally playing an easier version of the game with all the freebies and increased rates. Yeah they can keep the bonuses in if they want to end up with a 70/30 Alliance pop within the next 2 weeks.

They are leaving it like this for now in order to continue the balance. Balance wasnt only population issues, it was gear, auctionhouse, gathering professions etc that were also a prob due to the population imbalance. They are trying to help alliance catch up to horde progression server side, not player side.

You are on the few people who actually get it. The incentives are a catch up mechanism. People just focus on the player base numbers and not the progression.

Yup...Alliance needs the chance to catch up. Warmane devs can see player levels and can look at raid progressions/pvp status etc.

The reason it's still enabled is because Horde were able to SUPER FARM honor in AV for days, so many of them got crazy amounts of honor and gear etc. Also of course more Horde hit 70 than Alliance (Probably still....) so the increased rates are giving alliance the opportunity to get equally geared up.

Correct. The side-effects of the imbalance favoring the Horde caused numerous snowball effects. Of which, pvp was included.

You may get less honor, but it is also worth mentioning that the winning team gets 3x the number of BG tokens than the losing side. Tokens that are also required to purchase honor gear.

Ofc Ally loses more rbgs. I lost like 4 out of 5 yeasterday. But people gonna still complain for no reason. LMAO

So people should get special little boosts because they're bad at the game? No.
Faction balance is fine now, if alliance lose any further bgs, it's their own damn fault and not faction balance.

They said august 1st, now shut up and be patient. Some of us faction swapped/rolled new toons to take advantage of those benefits, cutting them short is not right.

It still hasn't changed. I played lots of pvp today and probs lost 70% of all bgs as Horde.
