Petition: please, make Scrolls of Deception more accessible

Transmogrification as it is is a purely cosmetic feature, that, however, grants people a lot of joy and overall brings variety and diversity to the table. Everyone looking the same is messy, boring and frustrating at times.

It's great that Warmane stuff found a way to implement transmog system in Wrath and TBC expansions. However, the scroll acquisition is a pain. Mostly because it's only really possible at maximum levels (BG / raid / dungeon drop chance). But what about 1-69 or 1-79? People are leveling for ages, especially on a 1-x realms, and a lot aren't even willing to play at max level (twinks, alts, etc). So, should they be stripped from the pleasure to look different just because they don't want to play at endgame levels or aren't there yet?

OK, you'll say, there are scrolls in a coin shop. Sure. But, sorry, for 10 euros a scroll? The price for just one item's look change is way, way too high. After all, for 10 COINS you can buy around 5k gold or something actually valuable (even on 1x realms). And, to get a full look change, it will cost as much as 60-70 euros. OK, you'll do it for a 80 main, but for alts or anything less important? Not an option, way too expensive.

Some people gonna reply - no pay, no game, it's not for the poor. Well, I'll say I can prove my donation status with a screenshot. It's a blue one (over 250$). However, even someone having money to spend will find it ridiculous to have to spend an amount of coins on an alt to get it a differerent look (for example, my lvl 49 rogue) while I can buy a GLORENZELG HC for LESS coins. Makes sense?? Not at all.

I suggest three things in order to improve the situation:

1. Make it possible for scrolls to drop from dungeons / bgs / raids BELOW maximum level;
2. Lower the coin price of scrolls to 5 or even 3 coins. This way MORE people will actually buy them and you'll earn MORE money overall.
3. Increase overall scroll drop chance; it's really insanely low.

The changes will make more people interested in transmog and promote more transmog hunting, transmog dungeon and raid runs and open new marketing possibilities. Moreover, TRANSMOG as a feature is an entire game NICHE for many players who get bored. It can even bring more people back to realms with lesser population.

but you're ment to spend a lot of coins on the scrolls, that's why the transmog system was implemented in the first place, duh ;p

And Im willing. But neither I nor someone with brains is gonna pay 50-60-70 euros to use transmog on alts / chars below 70-80. Especially if you got many alts. It's unrealistic and I hope staff understands that. Unless there are Rotschilds or Rockfellers playing here among us (which I doubt).

It's good to have something to spend coins on; however, the costs should be ADEQUATE and LOGICAL. As I said, compare the price of Bryntroll or Glorenzelg HC on Icecrown to changing the look on a below 80 ALT. The usefullness of one vs. another, and the latter cost higher. This is wrong.

Now, I'd buy as much as 40-50 scrolls if they cost 3 coins instead of 10. It's much more realistic. And overall it would still be a 100-120 euros income for the server, which is anyway higher than a 0 euros income.

Wouldn't change the drop rate nor chances of drop at lower level content, but the cost is indeed worth of re-thinking.

Well. this was the main point of my petition. Lowering the cost would actually cause players to start purchasing scrolls for mogging alts and twinks and enlarge scroll purchase overall. In the end, it will result in even more coins spent.

Instead of increasing the availability of scrolls and decreasing their value, I think a much better approach would be to make them account bound so people can distribute the scrolls that they do get in whatever way they see fit between their characters.

The drop chance is already extremely low. You'd want to see even fewer people with mogs around?

Then you and the previous guy probably haven't played on retail. Outfits gathering and trade became a game within a game there. It's a whole game niche on its own which can be very exciting and can keep people playing (especially considering that overall WOTLK has a lot less endgame content to offer in comparison to MoP, for example). It's great having this feature enabled in Lich King, but the scrolls price and rarity kinda negates its existence.

Very very few people I encounter use t-mog feature if any - at least on Lordearon. You'll see someone using t-mog on weapon and perhaps few T6 helms and crowns and that's mostly all. On a char below 80 the chance to see any transmogrification nearly equals zero. Means a super COOL feature is ignored by the majority of players.

I've played retail and i still play. I do not agree with xmog on WOTLK servers, that is my only "problem". I dont have problems xmog existing on cata,mop servers and onwards, but everything before that i do. The only reason they have even put xmog in WOTLK is because players cried that they wanted it "like it was on AT or blackrock now" and most of you who like it and wanted it are new molten/warmane players.

You want "cool" outfits? Go play sims or something like that.

Maybe it is "cool" because it is rare?
I like to see some people with determination to get whole set or some interesting parts.

I don't see anything "cool" in situation where every single paladin runs around in t1, 2 or 4 and such.
Whats next? Lets make vendor with all the cool gear "because everyone just passes on such COOL feature"?

I have a even better suggestion.
Make scrolls tradable (also via the item trade store) but remove them entirely from the coin store.
Let the supply and demand handle the price.

So, you have problem with t-mog, but apparently coin shop / character trade / gold selling and extra bosses HP and damage are just fine for you? :) Local WOTLK realms are good, but they are NOTHING like real 3.3.5a back in 2008-2010 on retail anyway. So, if all non-Blizzlike features that shouldn't be in the game are welcomed, I fail to see the reason why transmog is not. You sound completely illogical.

First of all, T1, T2 etc. is not really easy to get here. It's not EZ mode soloable retail raids from Cata and on.
Second, there are basically hundreds of sets and possibilities people can use. T2 / T6 is merely lack of imagination.

both T1 and T2 are soloable, with the right class/spec in any case
