what's your opinion on a second IceCrown server?

The play experience will be the same, but will server lag will be mitigated by a decent amount. I'm willing to transfer 2-3 toons over and play it just as much as the original Icecrown server; as long the server is an exact copy as the current one.

i would be willing to pay for this new IceCrown server. A server with only donors or both; it wouldn't matter to me.

icecrown is so packed, that i'm experiencing some type of lag. i can't log on; even as a donor; which is fine because of the server density.

the kneejerk merger was a bad idea in the first place, they didnt realize ppl were just trying lord out thats why pops were low on deathwing/rag...

So it turns out I'm actually not the only one who's having issues logging in. Also, I agree with Pooppickle. I was excited for the server merge when it was first announced, but as I've pointed out in the Icecrown Forums, it's turned out to do more harm than good.

rather than splitting it i'd like to see them cut the pop limit from 12k to 10k. making a new realm for a 2-3k people isn't really worth it imo.

Instead of opening a new realm they should make Lordaeron more attractive.
Don't hold blindly on this hardcore concept. Enable rdf, make heirlooms available and remove buffed raids.

Then there is a chance that more non donors, that sit right now in the Icecrown queue, will move over to Lordaeron.

If server stability and a gameplay experience that isn't a laggy mess was Warmane's priority, they'd add an actual server cap rather than a paywall. As it is now, even if the cap was only 2k, there'd still be several times that many players online, the only difference would be that only 2k of them at most could be non-donors. Although that distribution would only happen in the very unlikely scenario that 2k non-donors logged on before a single donor did, this example does outline quite well how the queue system is there purely to rake in the dough rather than maintain server stability.

Yep, paradoxically, the more people that become donors, the worse it gets for all of us as the cap is silently and subtly risen by 1 each time someone pays for the first time. It's not just the lag and crashes, the game world itself isn't meant to support this many players. Gathering and questing is a total pain. I really miss Ragnaros.

As someone who has donated over $100, I wouldn't mind having to sit in a queue if it meant the server was playable.

Would prefer the server to be split though.

I feel like you'd lose more Lordaeron players than you'd gain from Icecrown by doing this. The people that are still playing on Lordaeron like the hardcore aspect. That's why they're playing there instead of on Icecrown.

Don't want another realm! stop messing around . If you cant pay for skipping queu or you don't want overpopulated server go to another one. Stop suggesting absurd ideas .

I'd rather see Lordaeron change, open up the RDF finder and even go to 3x rate or something of the like.

Just need to make Lordaeron with random dungeon finder to working and will have 8-10k ppl online i think this is better then 4-5k

I don't think so.
I think most ppl are playing there because of x1 XP rates and no cash shop.
I highly doubt that ppl will leave Lordaeron when they enable rdf and heirlooms.

I like seeing you icecrown folks talk about Lordaeron, it looks like you know what you're talking about, but you don't.
Lordaeron is fine the way it is, and its not a server for everyone. The restrictive nature of Icecrown actually brings more players into Lordaeron, they say they wanna play on Icecrown and play Lord while they're on queue but they eventually start enjoying Lord and stay. RDF isn't gonna change anything, having it has its pros but also cons, and not having RDF also has its pros and cons, so it evens out. And heirlooms wouldn't change anything either, maybe the exp bonuses but if you're smart you don't need those, and we don't have gear problems - we level up slowly remember?

I don't play on Icecrown (I could if I wanted) but I will give my opinion on what it should happend (the same way you're suggesting things for lordaeron): lower player limit in Icecrown.
That would bring more players to Lordaeron, warmane gets more money, you get less lag and we're all happy.

Edit: point of post: its sounding like you wanna turn Lordaeron into another Icecrown server, to help distribute players, but pls don't Lord is fine the way it is, its a diferent server, I like it, I like diversity.

How does Warmane get more money?

Lordaeron is awesome the way it is, and it is at its current population levels because of how it is designed currently. I specifically chose it for its 1x experience rates, as I am sure many others did too.

And not having RDF isn't really a big deal... pretty easy to still get groups assembled without it (although I agree it is not as convenient, but being in a good Guild helps a lot).

If you are sick of the queue times (which I completely understand would be annoying) then give Lordaeron a try, you might be surprised.

How does heirlooms and RDF would turn Lordaeron into another Icecrown realm?
Ppl would still have to level up on x1 rates and there would be still no cash shop.
Heirloom would only be available to max level chars that want to level up alts.
When RDF is available questing would be still the faster method to level up, even with the bonus XP for completing a dungeon.

What i've always thought they should do, not so much adding another fully progressed realm, but start a new progression realm on a regular basis say once a year. Once progressed completely transfer the players over to Icecrown and start the progression server back at square one of WotLK. Not only would it take some strain off Icecrown, you could keep bringing in new players to experience WotLK progression but with Icecrown exp/prof rates ect.
