IOC & AV Rant

So I don't know if this started recently or if this has been going on for years but literally IOC is unwinnable because there is a premade 90% of the time that uses the ONE same tactic. I would be fine if it was different premades, then the chances of winning would be significantly higher. But this specific premade I have been seeing them for the past one week and all they do is :

i) Wait for the alliance team to take all the objectives and break in the gate
ii) Let Alliance take base gy and capture it completely
iii) Huddle with the boss
iv) Wipe people as they enter the boss room
v) Farm them at the captured GY since they will not retake their own base gy

It is impossible to win against them because they have a premade of minimum 20-25 people that are almost bis geared AND coordinated. You can't outsmart them since all they do is huddle with the boss so objectives and everything else go out the window. The ONLY option is to wipe them instead but thats almost impossible unless each and every member is well geared with a good distribution of healers. Alliance does not have a specific IOC premade that can wipe horde and it makes sense since its a waste of time due to bg que times if we only que as alliance.

AV also kinda goes in the same way but the chances of winning are somewhat higher since they are always far from their base to farm the gys so outsmarting them is significantly easier in some cases. It still becomes a ridiculously drawn out match of more than an hour if it comes down to HKs EVEN if we are winning. It does not seem worth spending that much time and effort. But at least there is a chance of winning since it is possible to reduce their reinforcements while defending our own. So even if they kill one of them for every 5 they kill of us, it still makes it winnable and if that doesn't work then there is a possibility of sneaking to their boss with 3 towers down and killing the boss to get the win.

Warmane has to do something about this because IOC has become a complete nightmare of a bg that caters to the HK farm groups the best, worse than AV. I've even see multiboxers populate IOC more than AV.

Thanks for reading my rant. I just wish there was a way to avoid the above two bgs.

Yeah, how about no?

With the time you spent whining and crying on the forum, you could’ve formed a group and dealt with that premade if you have even a little bit of brains, that’s what you’d do. That’s the exact tactic every kill-farming group uses, and no one can change that. So here’s my advice: stop crying on the forum like a little girl and find a way to beat that premade.

Back in the day if there were a premade team against our faction, instead of asking the Staff to intervene in PvP in our favour, we'd make our own premade and play a strategy that would counter theirs.

Aww, its so sweet when you think a strategy is possible if they ignore all the objectives by just huddling but I guess the moderators don't play the game either nor do they read the message properly. It did not imply that I wanted the pvp in my favour. Just to make it balanced enough that there is at least one possible way to counter the said problem. It becomes an issue when there are 0 counter options.

It's clear that none of you have a solution either otherwise you would use YOUR brains @Jomaa instead of brainlessly suggesting a statement with no proper solution to back it up with. If you are smart you will propose a solution other than 'find 39 other people that want to form a premade and spam IOC as Alliance with a 25 min wait time' and another empty statement will probably provide me with your IQ at this point.

Are you sure you want to be sassy and insulting when you create a thread that can be summed up as "the other team is better, stronger and more organized than mine, I keep losing, do something Warmane!!!"?

Why is it an issue that there are zero counter options when the other team is better geared and organised? Also you should not complain that we don't have a solution (assuming one is possible and fair) when you don't offer any yourself either. You say that you wish there was a way of avoiding those bgs and there is: queue specific.

Yes, it's been going on for years, and yes, it's always the same people. The same people farmed the WG portal 16 hours a day before they moved the spawn point to inside the fortress.

Just don't queue random bg / AV / IOC and problem solved.

A solution that would solve everything, and don't impact gameplay is to cap hks at 100k. Make it so the HK counter literally stops at 100k.

Or add an option where you can ignore two BGs from the daily BG rotation like we can add two players to ignore for soloq. It could be a weekly thing instead of a daily thing.

You must learn to play.

When I read the comments, I wonder if we play on the same server..
I play solo and I find AV and IOC very balanced.
It is much better than rushing for the boss like in the old times, that made AV last 3-4 min top and wasn't enjoyable.

You probably don't play in the highest bracket. 90% of the time, it's one side farming the other.

Would they stop playing if they couldn't add more HKs? I don't believe they give HKs as much importance as some think. Also 100k is a very low number.

Not stop playing, but they would stop farming HKs. Why do you think they spent tens of hours every single day, in front of WG just killing people porting in before they had to move it? Even losing WGs on purpose so that the other faction could control the fortress, and so that they could continue to farm? Literally zero other incentive.

It wasn't "in between matches". They stood there all day, every day. At the end, before they changed the spawning point, they didn't even queue AV anymore, because they figured out just standing there would give them more HKs.
