Premades Farming – Why the Current System Rewards Abusers

1.They have fun, they don't gain nothing from it

Rewards:
-Achievements, Titles
-Rankings (Website Armory has a tab for Honorable Kills Rank)
- Hundreds of Honor per battleground:
- Honor can be used to buy items > sell on AH > sell gold via Trade = Get Coins
- Characters with HIGH HK's count can be sold for HIGHER price via Trade system.

2.AFK System Hurts Victims, Not Abusers:
Intended to prevent AFK players, but forces trapped players to feed HKs or be kicked:

- Ghost run to another graveyard = kicked before reaching it.
- Stay and fight = instantly killed as soon as you spawn.
- Regrouping = half your team kicked for inactivity.

3. “Join a Premade”

Premades require you to have:
50k+ HKs or high arena rating
BiS+Meta Class
New Players don’t qualify.
The loop: no premade → farmed → no progress → no premade.

4. PvP Community:
Some argue it “builds community,” but in reality:

- Premades leave the BG or join the other one they qued for as soon as they have to face each other.
- Solo players fill the gaps and get farmed

"Warmane runs as a business":

The system to farm:
Honor > Gold > Coins, works well and work against Warmane.
The coins earned are being sold, for lower price than Warmane site prices
There are entire Discord Servers for this (Fee's are also covered).
You can buy coins for as much as 60% cheaper.
This is not speculation, adverstment, hallucination or something of that sort.
It can be proven.
It seems like the only legit reason, someone would defend all of this clown fiesta with the farming, is to be part of it and earn money that way.

The same groups which Mods defend there, can lose warmane so much money (and they do).

Not everyone who farms newbies enjoy it, (Most do) but is either that, farm or get farmed.
Some people there play this game for a job, if you know, you know ;).

I don't have these issues. I top the score charts in most games I play and I win maybe 60% of my games. Just good old solo queue into random battlegrounds. I don't have issues building a new toon either.

Wouldn't expect a complaint like this from someone that's played PvP seriously for 15 years. Did you play then take a 14 year break and come back?

Lol, as horse, so you have to get into bg at the right times.

Simply logging in at the “right time” doesn’t get you into those high-HK battlegrounds.
These groups are usually full 40-man premades, and they’re not random. They’re:

- Carefully organized
- Built with specific class setups (e.g., AoE-heavy comps, High Resilience Front-Line DK, PROT WARS, PALADINS + Often PVE backline , Shadow Priests, Fire Mages, Balance Druids etc.)
Prioritizing BiS-geared players who are proven contributors and willing to use Free Action Potions

On top of that, they often only invite people who:

-Know how to use things like Free Action Potions at the right time
-Grab every pre-BG buff possible (scrolls, flasks, drums, etc.)
-Know the “script” — meaning they don’t need raid warnings, discord to know when to push, flank, or hold position.

So unless you’re part of their core, or already known and trusted by the leaders, you’re not getting in — no matter what time you log on.
It’s not about timing. It’s about being in the premade, and most players aren’t.

I’m editing this to add:
Yes, technically you can join at the “right time” — but only to end up on the enemy team, where you’ll be farmed and contribute to their HK total. That’s usually the only role left for outsiders.

It’s not about stopping skilled players — I play in those same premades myself.
The issue is not skill, it’s that these groups queue with 40 coordinated players, avoid real fights, and farm solo players stuck in unbalanced matches.

If it was just about being “seasoned,” they wouldn’t leave when facing another premade.

Right now, if you're not in a premade, you don’t get to play — you just get farmed.
That’s not PvP. That’s a broken system that kills fun for everyone else.

-Solo players can’t compete
-New players can’t progress
-And “skilled” players avoid real fights in favor of farming rankings via exploitation

If this were a healthy PvP environment, premades would welcome fair fights. But right now, it’s not PvP — it’s PvE with live targets who can’t fight back.

I couldn't agree more. I've been one of the players in these premades. I made content for the biggest BG guilds before and after merc mode was released, playing in GvG's.

IOC, AV and WG are hellholes. When you play in these premades there is no player versus player action for most people, because when you're sitting in the opposing team's graveyards, everyone dies INSTANTLY as soon as they spawn. If you are a healer in these premades (as i was), you do nothing for 45 minutes, quite literally nothing. Merc mode similarly killed interesting PVP between guilds, like guild vs. guild fights, and killed any reason to play as horde.

Everyone knows the state of PVP is really bad, but the GM's have (seemingly) made their bed and decided to lie in it. If you played horde before merc mode you could end up with small premades who wanted instant pops, and as a new player that could work to your advantage in smaller BG's. As it stands right now, newer players are stuck in the endless loop you mentioned of being absolutely ****ed regardless of the choices they make. It's a shame.

Its mostly the fault of Warmane devs and Alliance PvP guilds who absolutely suck out all of the fun of PvP on this server. Just make it Premade v Premade and problem is solved. Would love to read about the tears that would come from Wicked and Divison players.

But Old Division does not lose 10/15v10/15 premades. Old Division is also not active or have the enough players to run full 10-15 men premade groups right now.
Old Division stopped doing premade vs premade (guild v guild) fights because there was nobody left to beat / that could put up a decent fight.
The only "tears" that came from it was from everyone who Old Division beat.

Horde has tried on multiple occasions to beat the alliance wg premades but have pretty much failed on every single try unless they have a massive advantage.

Battlegrounds during certain hours on weekends are practically unplayable if you solo. The only remedy is to organize balanced premade battles over Discord.

He doesn't mean Old Divsion which is basically dead guild, satelite of Wicked PVP.

Neu Division is farming AV ISLE each night past couple of months, it is completely different players then Old Divsion.

There is no chance for Horde PVE players to beat alliance arena tryharders in WG. Ofcourse that faction with stronger racial and PVP oriented people will win WGs since Wicked PVP is there with 2-3 raids each WG so only reason alliance is winning those is HUGE ADVANTAGE in numbers.
