Dying Mid Intercept on pull

I'm playing fury warrior and I notice how i'm dying on raid boss during mid "intercept" right on pull sometimes. I know for a fact that i'm not pre pulling, because I wait for pally tank skill animation for aggro skill and i'm in the backline , but when I use "intercept" I die mid charge when the dmg isn't even registered. (boss attacks me) On raid cooldown addon I noticed how hunter's aren't using misdirecting right when pull timer is 0 seconds but I don't think that's the issue.

I began thinking if im pre pulling, but the dmg isnt registerd so idk how i'm dying mid intercept. Is it due to me being too close to the boss?

and yes, im aware this can be fixed if I just wait 2-3 more sec after pull.

Why would you Intercept on pull anyway? It's a waste of rage. Just walk to the boss with queued Heroic Strike.
