str polearms dont exist for wotlk content (there is only one https://wotlk.evowow.com/?item=43409 from vh). if u really insist on using polearm just for transmog and **** use pvp (wrathfull t1 and t2)

Honestly http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50070 is the best for tanking, change my mind.
Warmace, bryntroll, justicebringer/dual-blade butcher; In my opinion are useless for tanking, mainly becuase they dont put anything extra towards tank stats.
I do favor http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50267, only because its easy to get
If youre getting into 10m icc's, I would really try to focus on getting http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50798
Expertise goes a long way, and most times is the last stat we gear for as a tank
My next question is, what version of Atlas Loot are you using?
Saying x "gearing" weapon is useless is a bit wrong, I doubt anyone would choose justicebringer over glorenzelg yet if thats what they have, its never useless. Though I find Crytpmaker more valuable than glorenzelg/ramaladni for non-parryhaste bosses since with armor gear we badly need hit rating instead of expertise.Quote:

I do agree, tanks need hit, however if youre making your tank viable and not just grabbing gear for gs, hit should be #2 stat. If hit is what youre truely after, then I would try getting http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50761 first. If youre trying to get your foot in the door for just icc 10m's, tons of guilds take 5k gs for alt runs. Full 232 will get you 5k gs. Thats where http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50267 is great cuz tons of peeps do low gs fos/pos hc runs, its the easiest 2h to attain. Ive even used the http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50048 for tanking, until I found a viable upgrade and not just loot grabbing. If you use the rational of viable stats the "saying x "gearing" weapon is useless" holds ground. If you wanna build a viable tank, dps, or heals; you are going to focus on certain stats to bring out the best in your toon. Armor pen is a useless stat for a dk tank, in the context we are building to 540 def cap, 9% spell hit from gear, stamina, and then expertise. I favor http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50798 because we get two blue sockets and start building some expertise and its a 10m drop. All Im argueing is, what gear is easier to get vs gear that should just be skipped to get you to a 5k gs. A good raiding guide will want you viable for your part, not gs boosting to fit the bill. I even took guys 4.8 gs if they were viable when I ran Boondock Saints on Molten.
