With mining you can mine gold and smelt them into bars. Pretty nice.
With alchemy you can transmute iron bars into gold bars.

During levelling I’d say either Herbalism / Mining or one of those two paired with Skinning
Late game I’d say alchemy as players always need consumables for raiding. Pair this with Herbalism so you can farm your materials.

Inscription is very high on gold making, especially friendly for beginning, while profit amount per item is not big, it has a huge % return, like spend 5g, get 25 return, almost nothing else is close to this.

Don't bite the "manipulating ah" stuff, that's just something people who don't know say. but they are all essentially saying the same thing.
Honestly, you don't make money from professions. Maybe if you cut a gem here and there, or spend your time farming leather all day, you will make some money. But the best, and fastest way to make money is get to lvl 80 asap, and do quests and daily quests. Then when all your daily quests are done, and you have nothing else to do, then go farm leather, or mine ore, whatever. It only takes about a hour to do all your daily quests if you are fast about it. But you will spend all day farming leather and only make about half the amount of gold.
