i have Alchemy and Herbalism for my lvl 80 dpriest right now and have some gold to change one of them.
How do I know what the final results of each profession are that i can find best for myself?
as a matter of fact i really like to have elixir and potions and i think wanna keep Alchemy for my hero.
can u explain which of the profession is best for PVP and PVE as a priest?
Alchemy is fine. As far as stats are concerned, it's a matter of listing what each profession provides. You can find that information fairly easily. For Disc, for the most part, you want static spell power stat. Engineering is a great utility, but you can't put it to much use in arena. If you aren't doing arena, go ahead and use that profession. If you are, JC is a solid replacement.
In general BS, JC and Eng are considered best. JC gives the most stats out of all, while BS is equal to others but allows you to be flexible with the extra stats. Eng is imo very solid because the haste proc is pretty good, while the rocket has lots of other uses than just plain damage.
So I'd say JC > Eng/BS > rest
