WotLK [Guide] PvE Holy Paladin 3.3.5

Might be a stupid question, but is there a reason why you go for the sword instead of the mace? Both have the same stats, gem slot, and human racial works for both. Is there just less competition and thus easier for paladins to get their hands on it or am I missing something?

Technically the sword competes with less classes, but you don't really get to pick and choose unless you're donating for it or both drop, which is fairly rare. Other than that, the only real difference is cosmetic.

After taking practical factors into consideration and looking at the behaviour of the majority of ppl who interacting with this guide, which majority just skip to their desired section and copy paste from it, without understanding or reading the logic behind it, I've decided to adjust the recommended all around build, to having improved LoH as standard. Previously I had 3 points in improved conc and I was saying that if u find yourself using LoH a lot, then u should consider putting those 2 points into improved Lay, now the point and the logic is still kinda the same, but now advocating to change to 3/3 improved conc only if ur not using LoH a lot or at all, for whatever reason.

Well yeah, if you play with scrubs and are the only one rotating cds on tanks then you want imp LoH as additional CD you put on tanks. In reliable guild this shouldn't be neccessary and the raid will benefit more from imp conce.

I'm interested in this class as a healer, but considering the many spells it has to heal it seems to me a very complex class, especially in raids.
