Hello there, I am curious if anyone know what's exactly the limit between lower gear tier RBG and higher gear tier RBG?
Is it specific rule or overall gear score that you shouldn't go over to remain in lower tier? Like 5k is limit or something like that?
Any information is appreciated
P.S. Nevermind, we found out.... 5.7k without purchasing any ICC heroic allows you to be maximum geared and still actually play RANDOM battleground vs random players , not premades on both sides.
You're wrong at the very foundation, only players use "gear score."
Also, trying to cheese the threshold with a mix of low items and one or two much more powerful is a quick way to get reported and forced to the upper bracket.
Also also, being in a lower gear could be temporary and eventually you might "graduate" even if undergeared.
Despite what they say, I have already played over 100 BGs. Maybe if you reach certain number of HK they will move your character to upper tier, however I would advise to buy commendations from general vendor for 2500 honor (and you can send them to account characters even though you lose 500 honor in process) and stack them once you reach full gear. IF you are later forced from lower to higher tier, you can always create new or/and delete old character and you can have almost full gear with commendations you collected and start cycle a new.
Goal is to play battlegrounds versus RANDOM people and you don't face guild premades where 5-10 people come as party and destroy random people followed with camping graveyards regardless what faction they belong and often intentionally delaying objective (like they grabbing flag in WSG and prevent own team mates to cap or camping graveyard in AV for HKs).
Good thing is, even if you are forced to next tier, you can always make new character. Also make couple alts and farm first win of the day, massive honor gain so getting new items on new character will be easy and quite fast as well.
