Hi guys, I have a question: why do BiS geared prot warriors equip the block value gun over LK crossbow. I know block value past the cap used to add damage while shield block is active, but that does not seem to be the case anymore, or at least I did test it many, many times and the numbers are absolutely identical while being arp-capped with both weapons - max shield slam crit on lvl 80 dummy with procs (same procs) on is 16500ish. Once I hit 17.09k with the gun equipped, but I think that's just RNG based on the rest of my attemtps. Taunka/sts proc with SB on I hit 16400-16500 over and over again regardless which weapon was equipped. Difference of 100 shield block value I think is supposed to make at least 200-300ish dmg difference while Shield Block is active. Also, I noticed that with GUN equipped, the shield block meta gem (5% SBV) makes my value go up to 2270 or so, even at that, WITH SHIELD BLOCK ACTIVE - non-crit shield slam hits are equal as at 1970 (SBV with LK crossbow), taking into account not having 3% increased CRIT DAMAGE.
