Is it worth starting on onyxia?

Havent played wow for years. Thinking about getting back on icecrown server. But i never played tbc, so might try it. Just dont know if its already progressed, do i even have time to level up before everyone is done?

Yes. TBC phase is still running for some months, 3.5 months or so on rough estimate. After TBC it's 1 year of WotLK as well.

TBC just had all of its attunements dropped and Zul Aman was released with catch up gear. Now would be the ideal time to enter. It only gets easier when Sunwell is released in a couple months.

The Onyxia server will actually transition into Wrath so near the end of Sunwell new players will be joining in large numbers to prepare for that transition. It would be a great time to get into a guild and play through Wrath progression.
