Allow people to join the Guild Recruitment channel

There is no reason that people without guilds are able to see the channel "Looking for guild" or "Guild Recruitment" yet nobody else can.

This channel as it is serves no purpose, and guild masters, officers and everyone else recruiting would not need to spam global chat if this channel wasn't inaccessible to everyone in a guild.

    - Channel already exists
    - Channel inaccessible to those who actually need it
    - Channel useless due to way it's set up. Pls fix

Here’s why this has been suggested many times and consistently denied:

    - Players would end up spamming it with raids LFM, character/mats sales or just chat, just like what already happens in LFG channel, where people regularly advertise items and characters. Meanwhile, the trade channel is flooded with LFM messages.

    - GMs are already under heavy pressure handling tickets, bots and hackers. They simply don't have the capacity to monitor yet another channel to ensure it’s strictly used for guild recruitment.

    - As mentioned above, if the channel ends up being misused for non-guild-related spam, it defeats the purpose of having it, especially when the same things can already be done in other existing channels.

    - Having a channel for guild recruit won't stop players from spamming global chat, it will make them spam both in same time :D , and i don't expect GMs spend all day giving mutes to everyone who recruit in global chat.

Then why not remove the chat, along with removing trade chat? Because this isn't the case.
    - While spammers will spam ALL CHAT, most players use each chat for it's recommended use.
    - GMs don't monitor any chats at all, and rely on ticket reports to issue silences and bans
    - You're insisting warmane players are too dumb to figure out each channel's intended purpose. This is a bad take. Trade chat is already being used properly and flooded with trade offers, and the occasional spammer, but all chats are flooded by spammers unless you /ignore them.
    - Auto-Flood, the add-on most players who advertise their guild's with, is only able to spam a single channel at an intended spam interval, with global chat being the only available channel to spam in, the guild spam is the result.

Auto-Ignore add-ons are counter-intuitive as they punish players who want to join good raids because those who are advertising for their guilds tend to be the same ones making and leading those good raids.

There is only benefit from this addition to the game with absolutely no harm and all players in a guild are able to leave the channel.

Trade chat is already being used properly

Nope, I'm certain people still use the Trade and Local Defense channels for guild recruitment and unrelated stuff , I see it happen every day.
Adding extra channels won’t stop anyone from spamming global chat. It’s more like, 'Oh look, another channel to spam at the same time!'

I agree that auto-flooding is the most commonly used method, but many players also use AHK to click guild recruitment macros. This allows them to send one message to every available channel while staying online. Unlike auto-flood addons that eventually get you disconnected when AFK, AHK keeps you logged in 24/7 and spamming as many channels as you want.
Here is some related answers to my point and why this is useless : https://forum.warmane.com/showthread...=1#post2991638
I’d love for your suggestion to work, but we need a solution that prevents people from spamming across multiple channels at the same time and doesn't end up wasting the staff team's time.

Brand new user (3 days or so) just adding my 2 cents worth:

I tried talking in zone chat in the Barrens - the BARRENS, mind you - and no on responded. No one was chatting there. The only chat I was seeing was the flood of messages from users posting their recruitments in trade chat, their trade offers in recruitment chat, and everything in global chat.

I thought this server was overtaken by bots. No normal chat happening, just spam. This is not a great look. I met some cool people running a dungeon and joined their guild, and the first thing they suggested was a spam filter addon.

It has become an ordeal on this server. I'd argue that having dedicated moderators handling chat is not only necessary, but a high priority for the sanity of its players. If not, I wouldn't be surprised if this server's nickname one day becomes "Spamane".

This has always been an issue in every version of this game. You go on Classic right now and the lfg channel is just constant political discussions and random garbage lol. I remember in retail forever ago the trade chat was horrendous.

It's not that difficult to navigate as a user though. Join or leave channels. Put the channel on another tab. Look for what you need and that's it. Put all the booster and recruitment bots on ignore.
