Elemental Shaman Arenas in Cataclysm

I've been relatively successful in WoTLK on my Elemental and I've decided to take a shot at Cata now. What are the best Ele comps in 2s/3s nowadays? I went full Mastery build, also wondering what are the most critical bugs for us right now? I know Grounding is messed up atm but anything else I should know about? Thanks for all the feedback :D

Well, I only play 2s with my brother a ret pally. I can tell this is one of the best comps because of the shield they can put on you, which make you inmune to physical attacks, so basicaly you can one shot someone with this beautiful thing without being killed, it's a huge weapon.

But I would say that the best comps would be shadow priest, fire mage, destro lock, frost mage, because of the control they can manage, this way you can put all of your monstruous dmg :)

Well, i've tried with almost all clases an specs, and i've been very succesful with DPS casters, Affli/ Destro lock, Fire/Frost mages, Bdruid, Spriest and the most fun one... Elemental shaman, you HAVE TO try it, people in arena get 1shoted, and we i was like full bloodthirsty gear with some vic pieces and my the other shammy didn't even had full bloodthirsty gear...
But it is up to you... i like more the Double ele comp, but you can do better with other partners...

ele need brains for high ratings.
best in 2s go with retpaly/frost mage (fire mage need more coordinations)/rouge

you have no defences and cant kill good geared healers by yourself

As an Ele you want a partner that can bring you the survivability we barely have. One that also adds even more burst to our crazy amount. Matches need to finish quickly as mana problems are common for Ele in 2v2.

2v2 options:

Ele/Destro -> My favorite. Although Destro ain't as good as in wotlk, I still love this comp. Fear+seduction+hex+shadowfury+wind shear, it's just really fun.
Ele/Retri -> Ret can help you peel and survive with wog/bubble.
Ele/Fire Mage -> Doesn't work very well in high brackets but you'll literally blast everyone away in the lower ones.
Ele/sub -> Rogues can keep opponents off of you nicely.

Haven't tried teaming up with a feral yet. I think it can work. Feral has nice peels, hots and you even have innervate for the shamans mana issues.

If you want to play some boring healer/dps, pick a hpally. It's enough to reach 2.2k if that's what you aim for.

3v3:

LSD can still work, but Resto druids are pretty **** nowadays. You're probably better of with LSP.
Good ol' Thundercleave. Warrior needs to be exceptional in Cata.
Ele/uh dk/disc, there is some decent synergy here.
Ele/mage/disc works fairly well.

My current comp on warsong is ele/frost, it's a burst comp so requires really good coordinationon higher ratings, so if you think you can do it then go for it. Mastery is good for this comp. I also like ele/shadow, it has double offheals, non-dr ccs like ele/mage, works better with haste on this comp in my experience. Doesn't have those slows like a frost mage though, which are super useful.

In 3s I go ele/frost/disc, seems to work pretty damn well vs most comps, I also liked LSP, but in my opinion it's not as good.

Good ol' Thundercleave. Warrior needs to be exceptional in Cata.

Take thundercleave and replace the warrior with a DK. Problem solved.
