WotLK Question about hit rating and resilience.

Hi guys, for as long as I can remember, if you wanted to hit 1105 resilience with BiS gear on your warrior, you had to run 4.85% hit or 158 hit rating. This is how I have it on my warrior and all the top rated/geared warriors are running in the same set up. Then this guy comes along, video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXKUhjN0eM4

And he's got 168 hit and 1105 resilience with 0 hit rating gems and his enchants seem to be identical to mine. Also, he's human just like I am and has the same professions.

Someone please explain.

Well, I don't think that getting hit rating to 5% is necessarily worse than a bit more arp.

What I still don't understand until today is why executioner is better than berserkering.
When taking armor to the teeth into account berserking gives around 377 ap while executioner gives only 120 arp.
Arp must be a insanely good stat if that tradeoff is it worth it.

Do you think that when I don't have access to wrathful shoulders that it would be worth to use Titan-Forged Shoulderplates of Triumph
and replace
Signet of Twilight with
Might of Blight or Apocalypse's Advance with Blood-Soaked Saronite Stompers ?
Like that I'd have more arp than in BiS gear.

Arp is definitely more important than AP, especially once you have more than 50%. You shouldn’t replace the 284 feet or ring - feet gives insane str and hit and ring insane crit and hit. As far as running around missing 0.15% to hit cap it’s mostly worth it if you do 3s soloQ or 3s in general and BGs as almost always you have a draenei on your side for that extra hit. Even without draenei racial you still will probably miss 1 attack in 5 matches which doesn’t necessarily make all the difference if you don’t make many other mistakes. At the end of the day it will come down to personal preference whether to put that 10 hit 10 str gem and replace one with 20 arp. It definitely sucks if you miss an important MS but believe me sometimes I’ll que for 15-20 games soloQ and never miss once. On the other hand I think I can actually feel the difference between 1085 and 1105 resilience (many people might laugh but I have many games under my belt and I’m confident I get bursted less this way). Minmaxing is nice but doesn’t matter as much as your general skill level. If you have 1050 resil and 50%+ passive arp (and even if you don’t) I don’t think you should swap RS ring and boots ever. Don’t forget that many games are won off of crucial big crits. Also, gear should be changed vs different comps for optimal efficiency. I’ve seen warriors change one of their rings to the one from Rotface that gives expertise when they face a lot of melees, and most good warriors would swap bracer, belt and helm between PvE and PvP ones for maximal survivability or damage output as per the comp their playing/facing. When I’m paired with a disc priest and a destro lock/arcane mage and I know I will likely not be targeted by the DK on the other team I’ll go max arp build with about 75% arp and 900ish resilience and I’ll very often kill one ot two enemies with sweeping strikes since they’re unprepared for the damage output. Note I’m mostly talking about SoloQue..
