Pandaria Grounding totem and chaos bolt

Just wondering, can grounding totems redirect a chaos bolt mid-flight? It doesn't work whenever I try it but im not sure if they're supposed to do so.

No it has to be used when cast sadly. You can drop it mid-cast but not in travel.
It's a long enough cast time, if you cant shear or get your totem down, you kinda deserve to take the bolt to the face.
