Hello i'm ACO 23 years old, my in-game name is "Learning" because yeah i'm Learning how to play. I have a lvl 22 sub rogue. I have played wow for a short time some years ago on molten.
I could not play for a long time work and stuff happend in life. I started to play again and after this introduction i will go to the point.
I started watching youtube videos, reading guides, learning items, stats etc. but i feel that's not enough
I want to learn how to play and because i am growing in levels, soon join BG's, doungeons and stuff and i rly dont want to be that "noob/*****" that insted of helping others win and have a great time, just messes evreything up.
I'm interested in skyping with some1 willing to help me out with the game, maybe joining a guild or something, I am from Romania +2 GMT timezone btw
Also interested in tips, gameplay, what to do in bg's how to use my skills, i mean i have a huge game to play in front of me and a lot of stuff to learn so...
In advance if i did not place my Topic in the right area i apologize to the Staff for my mistake
Regards ACO
Easiest way to learn is to play and Assn is the way to go in BGs IMO. Sub for arena ( depending on comp but sub 85% of the time) when you get 90 and start to BG u will be useless rogue is VERY gear dependent to make yourself less useless i would work on just sapping/stun locking healers and kicking them and not focus on DPS as you will tickle. Oh and watch out for rets thats the only class it takes so much to beat and the almost always will kill me unless they are just bad.
thank you sooking for your advice. I saw in one youtube video what you said just now that sub is for arena. The guy in the video was saying sub is better for arena and combat for bg's but did not say why or don't remeber it
Maybe i can help you, but to be Honest you Should get Better the more time you spend playing your class vs each other classes. Some dont learn LOL but im going to assume your not one of them.
I played Sub in Bg and Arena, for the plain reason the Control you have in Sub spec combined with the Decent Dps is just perfect the way i like to play my game.
I think the Hardest thing in Sub spec is learning your Crowed Control, Diminishing Returns and "Defensive Cooldowns"......I would suggest to Run Couple of Bgs "the more the better" only focusing on one "Playstyle" for a bit then Run Couple of Bgs Focusing on a Different "Playstyle".
Example "Ok im going to Run 5 BGs and My Focus will be on Crowed Control, join BGs and Support your Teamates with Kidney/Cheap Shots, Blinds, Gouge, Smoke Bomb, Garrote "Silence" ect.....and only wenn your CCs arent Needed Start to Dps. Then join Couple Bgs saying "Ok im going to Run 5 Bgs and My Focus will be Defensive Cooldowns"....then deliberatly start putting yourself in situations were you just know "your in trouble" and start Rotating you Cds Efficiantly.
Use that kind of mindset for a couple of days and within a couple of days you should be getting used to CCing, CDs, Dps, and Diminishing Returns...if you dont know what Diminishing Returns are google it xD.
Keep watching Rogue Tutorials and Search with Different Keywords for example Rogue Bg Tricks or Rogue Arena Tips or Funny Rogue Montage ect....
Sometimes you will see someone do something with a rogue that is just really good lol, like you jump of a Cliff and Enemy Jumps off and then you Shadow Step to teamate ect....
Then Find your Playstyle.......i cant tell you what your Playstyle is........mine? i love playing my Rogue as if i was in a Circus lol....Blind that Dude, Garrote that Guy, Gouge someone else shadow step and disarm that other one lol.........im just everywere pissing people off....i think even at one point i didnt do any dps but just CCs and i read someone from the Horde say "Kill that Rogue" lol....cause i littterly used all my Cds to Cc LOL.

One thing i personally never like seeing other rogues do is stay in stealth while moving from one end of the map to the other. So please dont do that lol.
