Technical Unable to connect to game server

Hi
I was in bg and started to experience lag issues, or so it appeared, and got disconnected from the game. When i try logging back into the game the loading screen will just stop on the connected section of loading. After a min or so it will display the realm list and the number of characters i have on the realms but will not load the character select screen on any realm. I don't have internet connection issues as i can connect to any website i try and play other online games. WTF?

Can someone please assist?
