I'm looking to start gearing my rogue, and I'm wondering what weapons / pieces I should get using vote points. I'm planning on doing both pve and pvp so it would be nice if there was something I could get for both. Any help is appreciated.

If you're going for both PvE and PvP, then Assassination spec for PvE is the most viable for you, as it shares some crucial items for PvP.
The best option for your starter gear would be to search for ilvl 239 gear on Marketplace. Get that 239 Dagger MH and 239 Dagger OH, get the 239 Trinket that procs Haste, then you can do it on your own from there.

LW gives you bracer/wrist enchant with 130 attack power, which is 80 more than you get with standard enchant. Skinning gives you 60 crit rating at 450 skill if I'm not mistaken.
