Level 70 twinking Is it dead?

I always liked twinking a level 70 character and gearing them up and all that. But throughout my leveling, I never got in a bg. I was always in Q but in never popped up. I'm wondering if its worth twinking now at level 70 and if the BG's do pop up reguarly?

i remember on the old Molten, I would instantly get a Bg at level 70, but now I feel its dead.

Im afraid that nothing pops up on lvl 70.
BGs are only active on level 90 and maybe from time to time it pops up on 85-89. I never tested it on 85-89 though. Its just my assumption...
