Technical Stuck on "connecting"

When trying to connect to the server I either get that "this account needs to be converted" message or it simply gets stuck on "connecting". I am using my warmane username. Once every 400-500 tries, it connects just normally. I have read many posts on and off the forums and changed the config.wtf (MoP) file accordingly many times, deleted the cache, pinged the server, etc. Connection succeeded only 2-3 times so far and it didn't seem to be affected by any modification I made to the files.

Any help??
