1. The real popularity of Lordaeron realm

    Hello everyone

Current PTR for Lordaeron realm is at views 161,341, with only 41 pages worth of post

In my opinion this is a more accurate depiction of our realm's popularity

Now assuming this is correct the previous poll in the news section did this realm no honor, our realm always had more than 3000 active players and assuming that one tenth of these views are actual people, 16000+ players are populating Lordaeron.

This is a very conservative number of course and I would like to take this time and to thank the administration of Warmane for pushing through a blizz like realm.

    ps

Assuming that across 2-3 popular private server projects we have about 200 000 to 1 000 000 active players, games such as Aeon or Lineage or any other pay to play or free to play gaming franchise, did not receive a single WoW player.

We all simply moved away from mainstream wow into a private sector because WoW is just as popular, as it was during its initial release with billions of dollars in revenue, we all simply moved away from Blizzard's administration into the private sector.

Theoretically this will keep going right up until we will all die of get fed up with the changes on blizzard forum (weekly talent changes that the community of Warcraft didn't accept, despite the power of the administration)

The community always has a final word in any and every change within World of Warcraft because we sponsor its existence and we make it popular, its unconscious and always will be a part of a human nature.

  2. People form the other realms will eventually join up even if they only give it a chance, and may stay here, so just because there's no people posting doesn't mean anything honestly

  3. Since WoD (and smaller numbers since other xpacs) has caused an exodus from retail, there's fresh new people with experience waiting to play. Some are checking out the private server reddit to find servers and some are playing with friends who've had a head start on other private servers.

Since these people are accustomed to retail, this server being as close as possible to a blizzlike experience will be highly attractive to them. Sure they'll probably try out the other higher rate servers, or other projects, but in the end the novelty will wear off. So these numbers are not recorded and unknown.

To be honest just because a lot of people has viewd the thread doesn't nessecarily mean that ALL will play on the realm but sure it has sparkt some interest and people want to play there but i doubt it will be as much as it was back in the day when lord was really active..
