How's the faction balance in Ragnaros?

I'm thinking of getting back on that server. However, I have no idea if I want to go Horde or Alliance.

So if anyone can tell me how the population of each faction is and how they are, I'd appreciate that very much.

Popular opinion is that Alliance dominates battlegrounds for the majority of the day, and both factions are about equal (Horde being slightly better recently) in PvE.
