Expansions of WoW

I'm really curious about this, do I really have to download all of the file again if I want to switch expansions? Isn't there something like update the current version to the next expansion? Right now I'm playing Wrath of the Lich King, then I plan to play Cataclysm then last is Mists of Pandarian. After I've defeated each final raid bosses.

Hey, im glad you are looking to play more expansions.
Yes, there is a way to install up to other expansions, but the problem is if i remember correctly it is a really big hassle, and it's simply just easier to download it. You have to manually download the mpq? files and install them. So it's quite stupid, but yeah, my personal opinion, just dont try it.
