What's up with server offline?

Hello guys,

I was wondering if anybody has any info regarding server downtime.

Seems to me that (Ragnaros) the server always goes offline around noon (EST) and stays offline for around half hour.

I can't seem to find any warning of server maintenance and the website shows server up and running, but me and my gf cannot login.

What's going on?
