Achievement points to determine rank, how about honor kills ?

I'm sure there are people here like me who play for 4-5 years and had 7k+ achievemnts and 100k+ total hks on the wotlk realms and didn't bother to redo them again, how about including total hks in the calculations since there are a lot of active people who do mainly bgs.

this new point system is bs in my opiton, they said you get 10 point a day now its 1.3 points per day totally not what they stated.
i went from 250 points to 25.8 points bs

no they want to convert this to a all pve server those are the ones getting most achievements
all i do is pvp how many acheievements u get from that? not many othert then the repeating over and over and over and over youve recieved 10000 cp's blah blah another blunder

As far as I recall, they've never said that you'll get 10 points a day, they've said that you'll be able to collect 10 points per week maximum. If you read the threads about the vote point squish you'd know that now after the vote points were squished you're going to have 100 vote points max on your account (1000 before the squish) and that they'll let us collect vote points the old way (10 pts per day) until everything about the vote point squish is sorted out.

actually it's not bs it's literally the same as it was before just scaled down. Everything is divided by a factor of 10. 10 points a day / 10 = 1 point a day, in fact if you got 1.3 you're actually complaining for getting more points than before? Lol.

I can only agree as achievements are not really an important aspect of a private server, I can understand playing a private server to experience content such as raiding, or more balanced pvp than retail (I quit retail at launch of MoP). Achievements don't mean anything and some players who have donated several times cannot collect points anymore because they only pvp.

but hey, if you can collect some stuff with points then you're less likely to donate so why would they make the point system easier?

We don't know if it's easier or harder yet, because we don't know the new costs of the items. In fact, the new ilvl271 items may cost so much that them being available on the point shop is perhaps not much better than just raiding for them and hoping you get it.

Well not being able to collect points at all because you'd rather not waste your life questing isn't going to make it any easier now is it?

I'm confused, when did quests become a factor for the amount of points you can earn? Quests barely give any achievement points if that's what you're trying to say. And the amount of contradicting negatives in your reply are making me regret even bothering to read it in the first place.

Yes, and collecting non-combat pets/mounts/discovering zones is a good non-boring alternative then isn't it?

Some players aren't on a private server because it's free, we enjoy fast levelling (hell I paid for instant 80 on a 20x server), fast gearing and instant battlegrounds/arena/world pvp.

Points system specifically suited to pve players is slowing down that process..

There will be a thread or article posted quite soon about the whole point shop release, as well as descriptions about the ranking system. "Either tonight or tomorrow" were Edifice's words.

just because he doesnt like the new point system he should change the private server?interesting.
just because a player doesnt like new features doesnt mean he doesnt like the pserver at all.
and he is right the new point collecting system is easier for pve player then for pure pvp player .

In the end it comes down to the fact that people who make an effort will get rewarded.
Besides, we don't need people botting hks to collect more points.
