So in my experience on retail and here, i have been thinking why hasn't Blizzard made a battleground where it is just pvp like TDM on COD. I mean most people who play battlegrounds do pvp most of the time and never focus on the objective. I think it is kind of silly that this has never been implemented by Blizzard.
They are called arenas.
In fact, on retail at least, playing certain BGs, people completely skip PvP to go to the objective. I played an IOC with no kills from either side, they just rushed for the objective and killed the boss. AVs last 10 minutes, people rush to the towers and kill the boss, sometimes less than 10 player kills in one match. And these are 40v40 BGs.

I've also seen the exact opposite, with absolutly 0 intrest in objectives and just a full horrifc slaughter fest from both sides (wich rlly is epic)
Imo blizzard made objectives too important. Would have been better if PvP was the main focus and objectives to make things easier (like doing a little more damage or getting a little more points per kill stuff like that)

Temple of Kotmogu, all you need to do is grab an orb and go kill people.
I Think if Blizzard did make a TDM with no objectives it would be flawed.
For example if they made a TDM where Alliance and Horde each had 100 or so reinforcements, similar to Alterac valley and their was no other objective than to kill the enemy players and whoever runs out of reinforcements wins.
- One team may get stomped meaning players might just sit in graveyard.
- No objective means games might last for too long. Usually if your getting stomped you want the game to just be over with, objectives make that possible.
- Forcing people to re-spawn might be a bad idea, that is just free honor gain, Blizzard might not want that.
Probably more issues, just cant think of any. I Think Temple of Kotmogu, is as close as your gonna get to TDM.
