1. FPS drops

    Hey,

While doing arenas (mostly), but other times during bgs too, I get sudden massive FPS drops from ~~120 to 2-8. This lasts until I either stop playing for awhile (but immediately starts up again if I start playing again) or until I reload UI. Problem also being that on some occasions--once I reload UI-- my game receives a critical error and has to be closed down, the result being me getting kick out from arena. I am not entirely sure why or when this happens, I did notice earlier today someone dispelled my unstable affliction which set it off, but I don't think it is a spell that is triggering it; nor do I believe it to be an addon.

I know 5.4.2 has had some issues with FPS drops in the past:

Their issue seems to a general lose of FPS whereas mine appears to be more specific...

Their advise, however, of running a script:
    /run SetCVar("raidFramesDisplayIncomingHeals",1)
    /reload ui

hasn't at least seemed to help me.

If someone has already posted a similar topic I apologise, though I couldn't see any similar threads.

Anyway, any further help or solutions are much appreciated. <3 xoxo

  2. have the same issue as u..mostly of the time whenever i play the game..sometimes it makes me feel frustrated coz of it..i find out that fps drops comes mostly coz of the gpu performance which are rly low..pc is old..so i decided to drop ingame settings to everything low with directx 9 and maximum fps fore/background up to 200 in system/advanced settings..It helped a little as well as i downloaded a program called Baidu pc faster(that is similar as ccleaner but more effective from my aspect)..And alt f4 all the time when i feel fps drops..if u dont buy new gpu..u`ll suffer as well as me and many others having same problem...u`ll get bored doing reset games and reloads all the time coz of it..ALSO dont forget to limit your number of addons if ure using them..!
