1. [SOLVED] Error: "The Information you have entered in not valid."

    Hello, I'm new here and I've recently downloaded the WotLK client today with the hopes of giving Lordaeron a try. I've followed the setup and installation instructions from these forums to the letter; however, when an attempt to log into the WoW client is made I get the "The Information you have entered in not valid." error. The client prompts me to check my username and password for correctness, yet they are correct. I can login to this website with those credentials just fine. I can't figure out what is keeping me from logging in.

    I've checked and double-checked the following:
    -I'm using my username, not my E-Mail in the "Account Name" slot.
    -My password is correct, and the same one I'm using to log in to the Warmane site, which I can do successfully.
    -The realmlist.wtf is set properly to "set realmlist logon.warmane.com" and is in .WTF format
    -The version is correct (v3.3.5 12340)
    -I've deleted the Cache and WTF folders, just in case. Didn't work.

    What else could I be missing? Am I being totally dense here, or is there just a waiting period to get whitelisted?

  2. I've found out the issue.

    The WoW WotLK client only allows for a maximum password length of 16 characters.

    Warmane allows for a password character length of 18. I had the maximum allowable password length on the Warmane site, and seeing as you must use the Warmane site password in the client to log in... well, I hope you see the issue with this. I couldn't fit the entire correct passphrase.

    Perhaps this could be addressed by Warmane so that others could be avoid this frustration in the future? Just shorten the password length by 2 characters, and voila!
