WotLK How do weapons work in feral druids?

Hi,

i was wondering how weapons scale on feral druid. what should i consider when choosing a weapon?

is the max dmg most important?
does the speed affect the feral attack speed?
is it only for stats?
how do the stats scale? like is 1 agi = 0,25 attackpower (only ap no crit)

would be cool if anybody could help me, since ive never played melee classes.

Because a druid shifts into either Kitty/Bear form to attack, the weapon speed does NOT matter. Instead, the Weapon DPS is converted into Attack Power given by formula
(Weapon DPS minus 54.8) times 14 = Bonus Attack Power

Kitty Always has a Base attack speed of 1.00 seconds, and Bear 2.50 Seconds, these are reduced by haste.

1 Agility gives 1 AP and Critical chance and is usually higher DPS for Feral kitties than Strength. For bears, Agility also grants Dodge chance and Armor.
1 Strength gives 2 Attack power.

Of course, Blessing of kings increases these by 10%
