1. Are we allowed to connect by proxy servers?

As I noted in an earlier post, my lag from the US skyrockets on Warmane (and other private servers) late at night my time. The only thing I can figure is that there's some bottleneck in the connection between my ISP and Warmane's host company in Europe that occurs at night.

Since others from the US don't have this issue, and since I have no lag late at night when I log onto retail WoW servers in the US, I figured I could try a proxy service like pingzapper to see if that reduces my lag.

I just wanted to make sure it wasn't against the Warmane rules, though- please let me know if it is. Also, does anyone use a proxy service to connect to Warmane that they like?

  2. I`ve been doing that for awhile, never got any problems.

  3. You could pay for a virtual server in Europe with better routes to OVH and use it as a VPN, but that'd be paying to play... ;P
