Heirloom for new character

I just started a new character that uses Leather gear. I went to bank of my rogue to get heirloom gear, and it's not there. I'm thinking it was mailed to me when I hit 80 and I never added to bank. I have never encountered this issue with all of my characters and my heirloom leather or cloth gear. Does anyone know if it disappears after 30 days and I lose it, or if there is a way to send it from the account to my new character in the mail somehow? I show the gear in my account history here on the site so I know the pieces I had, just not sure how I can get them again! Are they lost for good??? Please let me know!

Yes disappears after 30 days in Mailbox. There is no way to get it back.
