So, once in a full moon, I cannot login due to the server "being down". Now, as far as I know, you claim the login server never goes down. Which means there's something wrong on my side.
However, I've been able to play for several weeks without any problem, except for the occasional disconnection/crash which happens quite rarely.
So today I've played for 3 hours or so, then suddenly my game "freezes" and skills etc. stop responding even though I'm still able to move. Thinking it was a crash I just decide to directly quit the game manually. When I try to login again I get this error.
This did happen before, there was a period where this was happening quite often, which led me to try out every single thing I've read on this forum, from changing setrealmlist(too bad it was already set properly), to changing connection settings via regedit etc. I somehow ended up spawning a new error which was telling me that server couldn't stream required archive data even after "undoing" every single thing I did to config file etc.
So I reinstalled the game and never had the login server down problem again, until now. I did get random high latency from time to time even though my connection was going just as fast as usual(as far as I could tell), but that was pretty much it.
So my question is: why is this suddenly happening apparently for no reason at all after a month more or less?
Oh yes, my bad. I should've been more specific. I'm playing in Cataclysm, which means Neltharion/Warsong. I play in Neltharion but this "login server down" obviously prevents me from accessing to both servers.
I downloaded the game with the minimal client and never had problems. The download is complete and has been complete for at least a month by now.
Do remember that this started happening all of the sudden, not since I dowloaded the game. No custom WoD models client involved.
P.S. I think this might also help, I typed in CMD "ping logon.warmane.com" and the result was that I sent 4 packets but received none(it said "packets lost 4"). Which is probably the cause of this error. Also tried with "www.warmane.com" just to be sure. Same result. Also the Firewall is NOT interferring with the game. And it wouldn't make sense it would start only today.
And last thing to help out: I usually have 70/80 ms of latency MAX, when I don't have those random high latency lag spikes.
