1. Lordaeron queue #2

Sorry for re-doing a closed topic but i wanted to ask something linked with this and it was closed.

I just wanted to know if you planned to do a delayed DC so we can skip the queue in case we were already in game. As a fact, i had to donate to join the #1 guild on Neltharion because we couldn't afford people DCing in a raid and wait 30-40 mins for this.

I'm interested in playing WOTLK now since Cata is pretty much dead at the moment, but i wanted to know if we would have to deal with the DC and wait 40 mins everytime somebody crash or if there was something plan to solve it, as it seems donation is not the solution anymore?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Pretty much everyone who has played in a serious PvE guild on Molten has donated. Lordaeron doesn't crash unless it's being DDoSed, so the disconnects are player-side mainly. And that's what replacements are for.

  3. I was wondering about an other solution than replacing. The problem with replacing is that depending on the role of the DCed guy, you'll have to spend more than 30 mins, more than ever if you already started the raid and people won't "waste their save" for 1 or 2 boss. And this is in the case where you can afford puging, if you're doing core progress i guess you can imagine replacing is not an option.

Replacing is not a decent solution against queue DC.

  4. If you were doing core progression your guild would be understanding of the fact there was a que and either just chill and chat while they wait, or go BG or play some other game (Hearthstone/League/DotA etc).

  5. I'm not asking "what can i do waiting for someone", but "is there a solution plan to fix this problem" actually. I didn't even started playing on this server just so you know.

As i said, donation was the solution we found to ensure the least waste of time (Which count people logging late, people "brb", wipes and so on).

It seems this solution is not working on this server, so i'm asking, is there something under-dev allowing a faster relog if you were online?

  6. The only possible solution is raising population cap that will reduce amount of queue but that depends if server can handle more people. As you already know premium members cant skip queue on Lordaeron.

  7. 7 years ago blizzard was able to have 6000 people on server without any lag (there were servers with higher pop than that but lag becomes noticeable) that's what i have heard so with today's hardware it should be possible to double that with still no lag but probably further optimizations will be needed along with top notch hardware, it will be better if someone from the developers clarifies here

I read Blizzard servers can easily do over 25k each.

As far as I heard, they can't. They simply have the "server" divided into a cluster of servers, multiplying the population because of that, without hosting it all in a single machine/core.
