Technical Warmane starts downloading update after log-in?

Hello guys, so i just got a new PC, it has windows 10 installed, downloaded Warmane just like i've done all the times before, started it up, it was all running good, when suddenly after i log in the "retreiving update" thing started to load, i figured it was just a bug so i just let it download, but then the patcher was done and i got an error message, now this has never happened before, my realmlist is set to the warmane and everything, what should i do?

Make sure you log in with username not email.
