Downloading an update [how?]

So i've read about updates, when they come out etc. but i didn't get how to download them..
In order to update the game we need to re-download it or there's a specific place/link that you can just download the update instead of the whole game?
I'm playing MoP btw.

You don't download anything.
You just log in and play.
Unless you are referring to 5.4.8 client, that you will just have to download that, otherwise no.

We will have to download whole new client for 5.4.8? and when will it be available for download?
