1. Q_Q thread about RDF disable (maybe you can explain the reasoning)

Hey, one of my first posts here and I assume.

TL;DR: can anyone put up a well reasoned argument why RDF is disabled? Lets be frank "it improves player experience" is BS argument. I'm a player and it cripples my experience. So does it some other people I encounter in global chat.

I'm a casual player. I do have a job from 8-9 a.m. to 4-5 p.m. plus bring some additional work at home ad free time and there isn't much time to play the game. Used to play WoW a bit in my teen years BC/WotLK retail. And just thought it would be nice if I could relax a bit by immersing myself into Warcraft world a bit. To put it simply I'm just a guy who wants to experience the game to it's fullest with my somewhat limited time window.

Guess what? I can't. I can't get somewhat okish gear for exploring Warcraft universe without doing in-game chores. I can't experience dungeon content without wasting time spamming global chat. I can't do quests and experience non-dungeon content because I have to keep track of global chat all the time or spam it. I have to waste crapload of time which I would rather spent playing the game instead of getting frustrated at this dungeon system which only favors people who have in-game friends or are not casual players to begin with.

And no "find a guild" is not a valid answer. Proper guilds who's members give a crap about it's people do not accept casuals. Or atleast I haven't encountered a single one yet.

Blizzard implemented for a reason. A reason warmane developers fail to grasp. But I guess I shouldn't expect much in-game sense from people who have nothing to do with game design, and everything to do with scripting. *sigh*

As for people who will claim that this helps to keep quality and avoid N00bs in dungeons. - You can still do your s*** in old school way with RDF or without it. There is simply no way it harms you. Problem is that it only harms players like me, demographic which doesn't have enough time due to work, family, etc. Which obviuosly from Warmane's position are not welcome here judging from decisions they make.

Maybe I don't see the grand design here?

Please explain. I'm always open to change my mind.

  2. Why not play on Ragnaros or Deathwing?

  3. i would like it as well, i mean maybe not for the BC content since these are new releases but at least open it up for the players who are leveling in vanilla from 1-60 in all the lower dungeons

  4. Why not play on Ragnaros or Deathwing?
If they make it x1 sure. But currently they are not. Thus progression does not feel as fulfilling. Also lower level dungeons are bit pointless even to begin with when exp rate is increased. Again making you speed through content which delivers partial WoW experience.

How come making people who want to dungeon find teammates easier for getting what they want and letting others get what they want in game taking away from game experience? How? Again, people who want to do it old school will be able to do so, nothing changes, people who do not want to be forced intro frustration of SMS dating advertising like "improvement" will use RDF.

So why to disable it? Give me at least 1 good reason. Because currently it's only taking away from experience while adding nothing. Nothing at all.

  5. did not read anything except disabled RDF and give you 1 reason.

Kaer (and staff, but especially Kaer) wanted it disabled. Wow there you go, the reason is there!
Anyway, it is your choice to play warmane/lordaeron/any realm. but dont complain about each realms design please.
