Death knight

Will death knight be available from the start of wotlk content, or players should wait some time? (heared about 1 month or so)
And do I need to have 55lvl character on lordaeron to start dk?

DK should be launched with Northern content release ( so 10 December)
Yes I guess you need to have a Character to a specific lvl ( i do not remember what lvl) in order to unlock that class
