Hey guys im thinking of returning to wow , was previously playing on molten with cata characters and panda , thinking of rejoining wow and and considering wotlk or panda to start playing again. Would just like to get info on following fields before i start again.
-Pros and Cons of Cata or Wotlk,
-Working Content
-Quests, PVP,PVE
-GMs are they more interactive.
-Pros/cons of expansions - generally they are nearly entirely different experiences. The combat style in each expansion is different, the PvE boss fights are different(yet they follow the same rules - evade 'shiny' ground fields, stack/spread, kill adds, kill until it enrages). The only 'measurable' difference is the frustration for gearing up - Worlk doesn't have guaranteed 'gear points' every week, so its a bit harder to get good gear in Wotlk. So if you're with limited gameplay time i would suggest Cata/MoP. Tho in the end its up to personal preference.
-Working content
* Quests - a big portion of the quests is broken, yet just enough to level up to max level. Big quest chains and 'events' like the the Argent Tournament are broken and even if they work - it would be a very small portion of them. There is enough working daily quests to supply you with enough gold to start in any server(if you don't have characters on it).
* PvP - pvp is one of the strong points of Warmane: no lag and over 98% functionality(minor, non game-breaking bugs), working arena, battlegrounds and Rated battlegrounds and dedicated PvP Servers. Yet the populations of most PvE/PvP servers don't allow Rated Bgs, 5v5 and even on some servers 3v3 to be actually playable. And just have in mind that Warmane has 'pay to win' donation shop.
* PvE - almost all max level dungeons and raids are functional and scripted and there is enough people for PvE. Most dungeons on 'previous' expansions are not active.
-GMs are just as interactive as every other server in the web with population of over 100 online people - tickets and waiting few hours/few days for answer.
