Connecting to Warmane using Mac and having issues.
So, I have a couple issues connecting to warmane using a mac. I have the entire original game installed with the game purchased up through MOP, and it is freshly installed (I have logged in a couple times on trial account). My issue is, I need to change my realmlist in order to access Warmane. The realmlist does not exist, worse then that, in my data folder I do not have enUS folder either, in fact, no folder resembling this at all. The only enUS folder I do have is located in the "cache" folder, and there are two enUS folders holding various .ADB and .WDB files- but nothing even close to a .WTF file. I have tried torrenting the game, but it doesn't work, I have tried a thread on here that had you download WOTLK specifically, at patch 3.0.0 and had you patch individual patches up to the required 3.3.5a, but that doesn't work. I have tried creating my own text file with a .WTF extension and putting it in the WoW folder, also tried putting it in a enUS newly created and named folder located inside the data folder. I have tried going to the config.wtf file and adding the line, "set realmlist logon.warmane.com" but still didn't help (there was no realmlist set in the config.wtf to begin with). Every article I could find on connecting to private servers assumes you have the application/worldofwarcraft/data/enUS/realmlist.wtf location. But I don't. I can't get past the application/worldofwarcraft/data because after I go to data there is no enUS. Does anyone know how to resolve this? Like I said, I should have all the files I need because I have the retail installed on the computer.
Hm from the sounds of it, it sounds like you were trying to use a retail copy of MOP to play on our realm. I'll check the 3.3.5 torrent link once I get to my computer. By far, our easiest Mac launcher would be the cataclysm one, it's a download as you play. I would recommend checking that out. Other than that, we currently don't have a Mac native launcher for MOP.

Thanks for the help. I figured it out on a post by a member from about 4 years ago and it worked beautifully. I still don't understand why those files were missing from retail, regardless of expansion. For those who may have similar issues, here is the link to the page that helped. I used the top option, not the manual install option- the torrent option at the top is the fastest and easiest way to do it. Use the suggested torrent, Transmission, and then make sure you select applications as the destination for the download (it will create a wow folder in your applications and thus save you a step). When you click on the .app, just hit the obvious download, go into the folder for the version you are using (WOTLK or Cata) and keep clicking each subsequent folder until you reach the WoW launch (image of a cone). Drag THAT application (not the folder) into your WoW folder in applications. The launcher should not be placed into any further folder, just the WoW folder. If you drag the entire folder containing the launcher and try to launch WoW that way it will not work. Anyhow, sorry that was so confusing, but hopefully if you read it over a few times you will understand how to do that last step. Here is the link
