39 Enhance Shami pvp twink

Hi,
Im currently leveling on Lordaeron and noticed that the 30-39 BG bracket is quite active. Right now there are always 1-2 BGs runing.

So I was considering to stay with my Shami on level 39 and have some twinking fun.
Out of curiosity I was checking Openwow for some good items and found a super overpowered two hand axe with a speed of 4.0 ! http://wotlk.openwow.com/item=9425
Never saw such a slow two hand weapon before and I can only imagine what happens when windfury procs on it.
Is there any 39 enhance Shami out there with this weapon?
How hard is it to farm the weapon?

PoD is incredibly hard to get by, if the drop rates are working as intended. They however might not, so you could always give it a shot.
If you wanna twink on Ragnaros, I`ve still got a stockpile of PoDs left, of which you could have one.

Is the 30-39 BG bracket on Ragnaros active enough?

I really enjoy the current hype on the lordaeron realm, all the low level areas are extremly populated and a lot of low level pvp going on.
I never had a pvp twink on any realm but my assumption is that in the future it might be better to make a twink on lordaeron than on the other realms.
Because of the x1 rates there are just more ppl leveling in the low level areas so there is also more world pvp, dungeons and BGs going on.
Anyway, its just my assumption. Its hard to say how crowded lordaerons low level areas gonna be after the hype...

Im wondering if windfury with PoD can one shot other ppl.
Whats the best class on 39? My guess is disc/spriest. At least they seem to be the king in 1vs1.

Killing levellers with your twink`s rather boring, tbh, we`re building twink vs twink activity!
I never had a 39 enhance shaman, but I`ve played both with and against those, and yes, they can oneshot people, even (somewhat) geared twinks.

Yesterday I was lucky. Bought Pendulum of Doom for 25 g in the auctionhouse on Lordaeron.
To test the weapon I did some world pvp in Stranglethorn and have to say that im rather disappointed with the results.

When windfury procs it usually takes 50-60% of the enemys health and can sometimes even one shot enemys when it crits, which is great.
The problem is actually that enhance shami on level 39 has nothing beside windfury to pull serious dmg and proccing windfury on a 4.0 speed axe can take long, very long.
It happend quite often that I end up auto attacking enemys for 30 sec with out a single windfury proc...

When it comes to other shami abilitys the problem is that shock, fire nova and fire totems scale only with spell power because the Mental Qickness talent is missing on level 39.
Considering that a 39 enhance shami twink would stack mainly agility and attack power the problem is that these stats boost only auto attack and windfury but have no effect on the other shami abilitys.
A different option might be to stack haste to increase the number of windfury procs but im not sure if any haste gear or enchants are available on 39.

My conclusion is that Enhance shami on level 39 is extremly RNG based and with out windfury proc the dmg is very low.

When it comes other classes on 39:
Ret pala dmg, especially exorcism, is absolutly insane. Balance druide dot dmg is brutal. Prot warrior revenge hits very hard and hunter are very strong as usual. Also priests pull some really nice dmg and have strong heals.
I dont think that enhance shami can seriously comepte with these classes...

Hm. I remember Enh Shamans being able to one-shot even geared twinks. The PoD alone`s only one half of your plan, you`ll definitely want an AP heavy set-of-gear along with it (600AP at the very least, possibly more). But yeah, it`s pretty RNG. If you don`t get Windfury procs you`re mostly hitting like a wet noodle. However, on the flip side, every Windfury attack can proc the 250-350 damage proc the PoD`s got.
The Shocks, well, you`ll be mainly using your Frost Shock to slow/freeze people, plus it`s damage even without Spellpower`s alright (some 200ish, I believe?)

Yes, Frostshock pulls around 220 dmg on level 39 and fire nova around 200 dmg.
Sometimes windfury can proc really insane dmg. Once I did 2k dmg in one global cd with shock, auto attack, windfury crit and PoD proc.
When all these things crit it should even be possible to do over 3k dmg.
The problem is that these are very rare occasions.
Other classes like ret pala, hunter, etc have constantly high dmg while the shami has to rely on his WF proc and as a consequence they just out dmg the shami in nearly every bg.

Anyway, thats just my experience on Lordaeron. My shami is blue geared with 440 ap and 15% crit and I dont have any enchants.
Would be funny to see the windfury dmg when mongoose procced.
Do u know by how much percent mongoose boost the attack speed on 39?

Edit: Just hit level 40 and got stormstrike. The ability is a enormous dmg boost for PoD because it means every 8 sec one extra attack and a significant higher chance to proc windfury.

39 Enhance shaman is all about staying alive long enough to get a lucky windfury proc. That, or going spellhance, which is an entirely different style. Generally, a PoD is better used on a retadin or warrior.

If you ever want to do 39s with other twinks, roll up a toon on Ragnaros. It'll take you 1% of the time it took you to get to 39 on Lord, and eventually there'll be much better quality pvp, even if the lack of pugs means no round-the-clock bg pops. Can always have toons in both servers.
