1. LF Active, friendly and helpful PvP guild!

    Hey guys!

I am a 19 year old Slovenian student (University) of computer sciences and IT. I am a pretty active gamer with a long and epic history in the (PvP) gaming of Runescape (to all those facepalming right now, sorry haha, but we all played this once!), Guild Wars 2 (I can still kick anybody's arse there if they want! >:o ), Warrock (yes, a poorly built FPS, but it counts right?!), Battlefield and more and more! I've played WoW on and off for about 5 years (started on TBC) and have now picked up MoP to be my home.

However, as much as I love PvP, I love the social aspect of games, and I have always preferred to PvP with friends, guildies, etc... rather than randoms. I have chosen the Alliance side to be my home, because I have only ever played WoW as an alliance player, and I shall choose this path again. Under very special circumstances I might be willing to join a horde guild aswell, but that's very unlikely tbh.

What I expect from a guild is next:

    a) An active, friendly community. This is the most crucial part of all tbh; I want a stable, active community that will be online regularly (at least a few people to talk to), people to play with all the time, etc...

    b) A PvP environment - I want to be in a guild that takes PvP seriously. Ofcourse you have to enjoy PvP and make it fun, but by taking PvP seriously I mean constant premade teams, arena partners, !!!!!WORLD PVP!!!!!, preferably RBG (RATED not random) teams, etc...

    c) Non-elitist community - I understand winning is a big part of the game, but I will not join a guild that will yell at me like crazy and insult me if I lose in a fight. I want a guild that understands the fact we all learn and a guild that will help a guildie become a better PvPer.

    What I can offer:

    a) A respectful, polite, action-loving and helpful guildie; I will ALWAYS drop everything I am doing (this, I hereby swear) to help a guildie in need with anything I can. This being said, I am ready to leave any BG I am in at any time to go help kill the opposing faction gankers for my guildies, etc... I am also very respectful and polite, and all the knowledge I posess, will be shared with my guildies.

    b) Arena boosting once I get geared and skilled. I plan on specialising in 1v2 arenas (hopefully even 1v3 if I can become good enough) and I plan on doing this with the guild. However I am still a long road away from that as I only have a few 90s atm and haven't even decided which one to main yet, nor do I have proper gear on any of them yet.

    c) Premade carrying - I know my way around a BG and I love to help people. That being said, I will ALWAYS join the guild premades when I can to help the other guildies gear out or cap their conquest / honor; or just for plain fun of it.

    d) Active world PvP behaviour - I am very passionate about world PvP, but know that I am NOT a ganker (and I NEVER will be). I do not approve of ganking at all, nor do I tolerate it myself, so if you are a ganker guild, I must refuse you from the get-go. I love nothing more but clashing with the opposing factions in the cities, at the outskirts or in vast deserts. I have developed quite an anti-gank policy for myself which I will be glad to share with the guild, and if the guildies agree, implement this for all our guildies.

That being said, this is my application.

If you know a suitable guild for me, or are a member of one, please hit me up!

P.S.: About my iLvL and class and stuff - I have before mentioned that I do not have a fixed class yet. And I do not have proper gear on any of my characters yet. If your guild is not ready to go around this fact, then I am very sorry but we aren't meant to be. I want a guild that will be with me from level 1 onwards (not literally necessarily but yeah) and will back me up whenever; not a guild that will only take me when I am full geared, full skilled and yolo DPS master race.

I do however plan on having the next setup regarding my classes: 1. Tank (Guardian Druid); 2. Melee DPS (unsure which one yet); 3. Ranged DPS (mage or hunter); 4. Healer (monk probably).

So I plan on having 4 characters, mastering them all and gearing them all, then swapping them out depending on what the guild currently needs the most in a given situation. :)

Thanks for reading, see ya in-game!

    Regards, D

  2. Hello :) I would like to help you but you should reconsider some of the things you wrote. I will speak from my own PvP experience in some of the best PvP guilds, so take it as you wish.
Taking PvP seriously can exist without an elitist community but in that case you're looking at guilds that prefer quantity over quality, guilds that will have a lot of members who play all the time but very few who actually know how to play. Those kinds of guilds will rarely do rated bgs, and even if they do, their chances of winning will not be very high.
Elitist guilds are the best for serious WPvP and rated bgs but yes, if you lose, you will have to put up with lots of whining from the GM, cause lets face it, they are elitist cause the leaders are more dedicated to the game than to their real lives. Honor, reputation, loyalty and disappointment are words very often heard in those guilds.

This being said, on alliance right now, you have APKAHA (arcana), good pvp guild but mainly Russian; Pokemonz, which would be a perfect representative of an elitist guild, and something in between would be a CannabisCountryClub, extremely skilled, more relaxed than pokemonz but unfortunately not so active. The rest are not so noticeable. On the other hand, you can always choose nation based guilds, which are social, relaxed and somewhat serious about pvp, but not nearly as good for rated bgs and wpvp. Honestly, I would recommend them until you gear up.

Another thing that is a problem is what you want, considering what you have. PvP guilds have certain requirements, and as it seems you have neither gear nor skill at the moment, all you can offer is a great personality. You said you don't want that kind of a guild but only those kinds of guilds have GOOD pvp. That's the point, having good players makes a good guild. Moreover, you're talking about rated bgs but for rated, you DO need full gear and skill, so you're looking at ,at least, 2-3 months of playing to gear up and many more to skill up.

To sum up, as a beginner, you should adjust your focus. Join social, helpful guild, nation/language based guild that does everything but doesn't have strict requirements. In good guilds, you're expected to be good, so first get good, then join an appropriate guild. As for premades, global premades work just fine, make geared friends who can carry you (or entire bg for that matter) and farm gold, you'll need it, even for arena boosting occasionally. Join a stable, social, helpful guild and look for pvp experience outside of it by dueling, asking question, bg premades, follow guilds in wpvp (even if you are not in a raid you can stick to them). There are ways, take it easy and you'll get there and most importantly, have fun-never stress out over a game.

Thank you very much for your input Sugar! :)

I might have writen it a little clumsily; I DO have skill, and I like to think I have quite a lot of it. But I have little to no gear, and I do not yet know what class to be rolling.

About the social, helpful all-purpose guilds; I've been in them for a while now, and they're not for me. It's just a pack of thousand dead sardines.... I don't think I'm gonna try joining another one of these... :P

The problem with all premades is, they always require gear, like 510+. I know and you know, that while gear does provide alot to the victory of a BG, gear does not win BGs. Brain does. And I personally would rather have a 490 objective-based player with brain than a braindead 522 warrior who just uses bladestorm off CD at mid regardless of what he hits and if he hits.

I want a guild that is aware of this. That brain > gear. :)

  4. In that case,my advice would be to get 480-490 ilvl, and apply for pokemonz, they are pretty much the best/most active on ally side currently, they do everything, and if you're good, they'll inv you with 480+ ilvl. From there on it's pretty much easy. Just yeah, ignore the occasional whining and godlike attitude, some of them are really cool guys. And if you know Russian, arcana is not a bad choice either.

Thank you, I will notify the leader of <Pokemonz> then unless I find a better guild in the next few days. :)
