As another inscriber, I agree with this, not sure if it will destroy the ingame economy, but influence might be bad. I remember that Herbalism/Inscription was one of the most profitable professions before Moltdown....
Meanwhile, nobody says anything about Tailoring & bags.
The trinkets cost 45 coins. It's hardly going to ruin your profession. The number of people on the realm, total, who donate for these I will probably be able to count on my fingers by the end of 2016.
Let's not forget, Lordaeron needs people to donate. You're fooling yourselves if you think the realm is paying its own rent.
"destroy" "worthless" "suffer"
These are words that don't properly describe this situation.
they have all crafting items in there, which means, it sucks for all professions. i am an inscription myself and would kinda recommend deleting all the crafting items from proffs. otherwise similar things will happen as in WoD. economy will be fked up. i know it is important to get donations but a lot of people on this server enjoy playing economy simulator as well as a bonus to the game and this will make it not fun at all
At 45 coins each (at least 50 Euro) I really don't think that many players will be buying getting Darkmoon cards from the store, especially when they can get obtained in-game "fairly easy".
The in-game economy only gets out of control when players get greedy. Undercut the hell out of other players and you can/will continually make profit simply from time spent gathering your own materials/crafting.
Not only have you destroyed the ingame Market for These cards but now Ink is worthless, Eternal life is worthless, Herbs will suffer.
Do you wish to destroy the ingame economy?
More numbers, less doomsaying.
How many people have you actually met who donated for coins and used them to get these things? Because with its cost in coins and how little in donations Lordaeron has been generating, I'm curious for some factual numbers. Personally, if "ruining" one profession is what would make the server generate enough to fund itself, I'd say let's ruin two, but I doubt any of it is really happening.
And yet, besides "of course they will," you didn't provide a single number or name.
Instead of "doubting" and wanting "numbers" and "names", you prove him with "numbers" and "names" that he is wrong. I am also interested in this topic!
No "doubts" please ;-)
have you seen all the store bought mounts running around?
Because "store bought" mounts impact gameplay and are just as accessible in-game as these trinkets?
Brb, paying 40 bucks on a mount that I can get in-game.......
Tailoring bags and mounts are vanity items. DMF Trinkets are actually valuable.
I'd rather spend 100 coins on a 36 slot bag than a ****ing Shadowmourne.
A mount skin is "vanity", sure. An irreplaceable bag that increases your storage space by 150% is not "vanity".
most people can make 45 USD in 1 or 2 hours at work.
"most people"
1 - You do realize not even half of the US population has a job, right? (Take into account children and elderly people as well; they are capable of playing games too.)
2 - Not everyone gets paid hourly.
3 - Even saying that "most" jobs provide $45/hour or even $20/hour is just a stupid and an incredibly ignorant thing to say.
4 - Not everyone playing here lives in the US. There are people playing here because it's free, since the average wage in their country is $500/month (USD) or less.
Tell me how many people spent 45 Coins on a mount and ill tell you who will spend 45 on this trinket.
Show me someone who paid real money for a mount that can be currently obtained in-game with approximately as much effort, time invested, or gold as one of these card decks.

i dont mind it actually having them in the marketplace, not only the trinkets, but every single craft item. the thing is, ATM we invested our gold and time in getting those things, hoping, we are making profit, but now that you put them up, greatness already dropped from around 20k+/each to 14.5k in no time and this will continue dropping. it would have been better if u waited for another month or two before putting it UP. it is indeed for ALL MELEE dps BiS till ToC. there is no better item for that and inscription makes its only profit with that. or at least the most with it. you really kinda screw the economy atm. or how about you change it so that the item itself bonds to you? then we as an inscription wouldnt have problems selling it.
that would make sense and people would get their trinket by either donating or having ingame gold, which results in the inscription ppl to get gold and get rewarded for it

He's the one doomsaying, he's the one who comes up with numbers to back it up.

See above. You can't even point out a single person you know who has bought it, yet it's "ruining" your profession. Is your profession so niche that even if you can't find a single person who did it, you're still ruined? And are you sincerely comparing mounts, that are good forever, with equipment that have an expiration date?
