1. Pets missing a lot? Solution here!

    Hi everybody ;)

Just notice lots of hunters complaining about Pet missing attacks or special attacks. Your Pet does not a lot of dps as a MM hunter, but as a BM hunter it makes around 35-40% of your tatal DPS. Probably most of you already know that but Hunter's hit rating does NOT affect your pet hit rating,,,, The only way to have your pet to miss less attack is by raising the SKILL of your weapon to 400. Im not talking about bow, gun, crossbow, but your 2h axe, 2h Sword ......

Even if hunter's are not using Melee weapon to do DPS ( maybe survival but thats another topic ), your pet will miss less attack if your your weapon skill is top at 400 ! Good for you if you already knew, if not try it, nothing to loose and every DPS count ;P Happy Gaming !

  2. Good info, thanks.

I noticed I could get my hunter melee weapon skill up by just AFK auto-attacking the Darnassus target dummy. For some reason it didn't work with my warrior- had to kill actual mobs.

  3. Why would you still use melee weapons even in survival spec? Anyway, I have literally every weapon that hunters can use including all melee and ranged weapons at 400 (guns, polearms, axes, swords, bows, xbows and stuff) and I do still miss bites and melees from pet if I am not using hit items. At 8% hit, I miss zero bites or melees on the Heroic Training Dummy in Thunder Bluff and with 3% hit, I missed exactly 5% bites across 1000 bites. So I think it is safe to assume that hit does properly scale down to pet and work too.
