Technical New player here, having some issues

Upon attempting to login ingame with my username. It gives me this message:



Am I doing something wrong here?

did you got "MoP 5.4.8" from here? https://www.warmane.com/download
We are using 5.4.2, we will upgrade to 5.4.8 January 26. In that Download Page "MoP (old)" is a 5.4.2 client.
If you are using a 5.4.2 and still having that problem then be sure to use Warmane AccountName to log-in, not Email address and check you are using the correct realmist:
set realmlist logon.warmane.com

Well, turns out I'm just ******ed then. Would you recommend I download the old version or just wait for the upgrade?

I guess it depends on how much you wanna play MoP, if you get old version now you can virtually be lvl 90 for January 26

4 days... depends if you can get the old client downloaded within a reasonable ammount of time and if you're sure you would've spent enough time playing before the upgrade for it to have been worth it

So is all of the data going to be reset after the update or something?

it's not going to reset, no, but if you only have say 5-6 hours of playtime available by the 26th, why bother, you know...
