What is the best dps for PvE?

As the title says which class and spec is the best dps for pve atm. Also what would be the othrrs top 3?I started a shaman and a mage but after seeing some of the posts i gave up on them and came here.

You wont be any good with class given by others. Play what you like and enjoy... The dps is as good as player behind. Most people playing retadins,warriors,dks,hunters,mages are terribly bad, which is like 90% of em.
But to answer ur question, stay with mage. It is always a one of the best for pvp and pve, since the begining of wow.

Pretty much this, not sure how fixed frost is for pve, but even so, arcane fire will do better, and frost will always be the best for pvp.


And its not really that black and white, a ret paladin can roll on keyboard and put respectable dps on part with druid feral which has **** ton of things that need to be done in a perfect order...But yes in the end it is about how you enjoy the class, even if you're not nr1 on dps charts you won't be far behind at all.

Be sure to remember that not all the content is released and there are still lots of trinkets and other items to be released and it will probably change how some classes and specs perform. Having that in mind just play what you enjoy and don't be so worried with the numbers^^

Don't make an MM Hunter as of now. Its not worth in any means without Ulduar 25 gear.

This chart is completely useless right now, as stats are completely different with bis gear, and naxx gear.

Explanation: some specs need to stack haste, you can't get high haste now, so you will be ranked like 10th, and with each content you will get higher.

but let's say,elemental shamans,with ICC haste gear still remains as one of the worst dps

because you dont have a blooddk/enhancer sham in your raid.

For now maybe, and since its just a spec, you can easily change in between, but once you can cap arp (icc gear) MM is vastly superior.

True, but you bring shaman for what they can bring to the RAID, mostly the various totem buffs and heroism/bloodlust.
