Loarderon - State of Enhancement Shamans ?

Hello, I would like to dive into enhancement shaman on loarderon, but before that I need to know the state of the class.

How's dps compared to other classes? Where does the class belong (tier 1, tier 2 or tier 3)

Is it wanted in raids? or is it just a buff whore ( just 1 per raid for the sake of AP buff ) ?

Also if someone could point me to an **UPDATED** guide that would be nice.

Dps is medicore, you will hardly see any enha shamans in raids, expect it is a grun that you can get in. Not even for buffs, as a DK horn is better than enha ap buff. Best advice would be to play resto sham as it is always needed in a raid, for totems ,heroism/bloodlust and by the way is also a good heal.
There is many guides around, use ur sigh search.

What I meant is that you posted it in general, not Lord or shaman subforum.. just wrong section.
If you found it on warmane forum then it is to the date, almost. Nothing really changed with enha, here or on other two LK realms. You can also google retail guides.
But other than that, enha is real fun for pvp.

The problem is enhancement is "bad" in wotlk altogether (pve wise), and when I say bad I mean they don't bring anything to justify him. Much rather have an elemental (more dps and wrath totem) or resto instead for the general shaman use (totems+bloodlust).

not to mention the play style isn't anything enticing either in pve.

you won't be a drag probably, but considering the ultra buffed raids we have now, no one will bother taking a enhance shaman since other classes can do better.

if you can get into a raiding guild and prove to be a good enha , they will always pick u up, just for dps, but dont count to get into pugs. They will always ask for resto offspec.

i dont know, hearing all this bad stuff about enh really puts me off and I know that at the end of the day its player's skill that matters, but its like having handicap from start

"Really good", yeah, OK. Name a composition other than anything featuring double shaman and beast cleave, where it's viable. Also, people saying that elemental shaman are stellar to enhancement shaman in damage need to think twice.

I could care less what people on here think man. you might not find yourself in a core 10m group, but i'm pretty sure you could easily find a 25m group that's just right for you and don't let other peoples opinions hold you back. If you're set on Enh and raiding in WoTLk, then you need to be prepared to give a little to, so pretty much just give up on the idea of 10m groups, it'd be easier on you and everyone else if you just found a nice quite 25m raiding guild. You might not top the charts, but you sure could hang in the middle and meet the required dps to stay in the raid.

Anyways, good luck man and stick with it, don't let some opinions on the forums stop you from getting what you want.

I remembered that there's instant 80 realm so I'll mess around with that for a bit to see how it goes and proceed accordingly.
